The full spectrum story

How half a mushroom became normal.

Six quick chapters. Tap through them.

Chapter 1 of 6

It started with grain.

Mycelium is grown on grain. Some brands started milling the whole lot into their powder, grain and all, and calling it mushroom. Humans, humaning. People were getting a seriously diluted product.

Chapter 2 of 6

So the industry went fruiting body only.

To get away from the filler, most of the mushroom world switched to the fruiting body only. The cap and the stem made the cut. The mycelium got left behind.

Chapter 3 of 6

China got really good at it.

Credit where it's due: China got really, really good at growing and extracting fruiting bodies. For years they were the best at it, so that's where most of the world's mushroom powder came from.

Chapter 4 of 6

We did too!

Honestly? So did we. Fruiting body only was the cleanest option out there. But we never stopped wanting the whole mushroom, done properly.

Chapter 5 of 6

Then we found it in our backyard.

A grower right here in British Columbia, doing full spectrum right: fruiting body and mycelium, without the grain filler. We genuinely couldn't believe it. Then the lab results came back higher than the leading imported extracts.

Chapter 6 of 6

Did we manifest this with our minds?

Honestly? Maybe. We'll take it. Now every bag on this page is grown in BC, full spectrum, and tested before it ever gets to you.

The story of full spectrum

Half a mushroom is still half a mushroom.

Full spectrum means both halves.

A mushroom is two things at once: the fruiting body you can see, and the mycelium underneath that grew it. Full spectrum means we use both, so you get the whole organism instead of half of it.

Step 2 of 5

The whole mushroom

We use the fruiting body and the mycelium together. That's what full spectrum means, and you can tap through the diagram just below.

Heat extracted

Step 3 of 5

Heat extracted

Mushroom cell walls are made of chitin, the same tough stuff as a crab shell. Heat extraction breaks those walls open so the beta-glucans end up in your powder instead of locked away.

Third-party tested

Step 4 of 5

Third-party tested

Every mushroom gets tested for beta-glucans by a third-party lab, and the numbers go on the pouch and on this page. Filler free, nothing added.

The stuff people ask us in the aisle

Questions, answered.

What does it taste like?

Mostly earthy and mild. Lion's Mane is a little nutty, Chaga tastes a bit like strong black tea, Reishi is a little bitter (cocoa fixes that) and Maitake is savoury. In coffee, smoothies or soup it mostly disappears.

How much do I use?

1/3 teaspoon, which is 1g, per serving. Stir it into something you're already making. Hot or cold both work.

How long does a bag last?

230g is about 230 servings of 1/3 teaspoon. At 1/3 teaspoon a day that's over seven months. At 2/3 teaspoon a day, almost four months.

Which one should I start with?

Go by what you drink. Coffee people love Lion's Mane, smoothie people love Turkey Tail, cocoa people love Reishi. If you can't pick, the 6 Mushroom Blend has all six.

Should I subscribe?

Only if you go through a lot. The subscription sends a fresh bag every 2 months at 5% off, which suits about a teaspoon or more a day, or a whole household. You can skip, pause or cancel anytime. For 1/3 teaspoon a day, one time is the way.

Capsules or the big bag?

Same full spectrum mushroom. The 230g bag holds about seven bags of capsules' worth, loose, for stirring into food and drinks.

Is it safe with my meds, or if I'm pregnant?

For anything health-related, your doctor is the best first call. Bring the bag, every ingredient is on the back.

When will it arrive?

Ships fast, usually the next business day. Every pouch is over $75, so shipping is free. 30 day returns.

We can't promise how you'll feel, and we'd side-eye anyone who does. We can tell you exactly what's in the bag, where it's grown and how to use it.
